About Slow Food
Slow Food Charleston is an 8 year-old, local non-profit convivium (chapter) of Slow Food USA. Slow Food is an idea, a way of living, and a way of eating. Slow Food Charleston is part of a global grassroots movement that supports, preserves, and promotes local food systems and good nutrition for all.
What is Good, Clean, and Fair Food?
Good: Naturally delicious food created with care from healthy plants and animals.
Clean: Grown and harvested with methods that have a positive impact on ecosystems and biodiversity.
Fair: Accessible to all, regardless of income, and produced by people who are treated with dignity and justly compensated for their labor.
